After his time with the U.S. Army as an Airborne Ranger ended in 2000, he moved to Phoenix and studied automotive performance technology. He became ASE Master Certified in 2002 while working for Land Rover Scottsdale. He later worked for Land Rover in Tucson as the lead technician and shop foreman.

In 2008, Jake left that position to do a one-year maintenance job in Iraq. When he returned to his home in Pinal County, he decided to open a small mobile automotive repair business based out of his house.

Over time, as business grew, the mobile business evolved into a stationary one at his home. But space soon became a factor.

In May of 2011 Jake decided to relocate and moved to the city limits so he could be closer to his customers. And now Jake's shop has remained and grown in this location.
